A pair of Empire Royal Grenadier xxxx Stereo Speakers in excellent cosmetic condition . These were one of the best speaker systems built, internally and externally, from Empire Scientific Corporation, Garden City, LI., New York. They can be used as floor speakers or bookshelf type.
The Empire xxxx features a 12 - inch woofer, with a 4 - inch voice coil , which incorporates an 14 - pound magnet structure, a direct - radiator mid - range , and an ultra - sonic dome tweeter.
Each speaker weighs appx. 65 pounds.
The crossovers have been recently rebuilt.
